Historic centre of Ponti sul Mincio
Type: Churches, Historic Places
Town: PONTI SUL MINCIO
Ponti sul Mincio is the northernmost town in the province of Mantua, and as it borders Peschiera del Garda, is positively affected by the influences of Lake Garda. The origin of the medieval village is evidenced by the remains of the ancient castle, built by the Scaligeri family in the twelfth century. In the town, you can also see evidences of the Fascist period, preserved in the Little Caprera museum. However, the most relevant aspects of this town are in the vast network of cycle paths that lead up to the Mincio and Lake Garda, and in the rich culinary tradition.
