This exhibition of goods, livestock and handicrafts dedicated to San Gaetano dates back to 1896, and is since held every year on the first week of August. Through more than 100 years, the fair has taken different forms, reshaping and updating every time.
This year it will be held from 7 to 10 August 2015.
Today, there are no longer cattle, sheep and small birds, but amusement rides, games and music. It has instead rooted in time the culinary and handicraft tradition, reason that drives the most to come and spend a few hours of some August evenings in Ponti sul Mincio. Reflections of distant customs tied to the rhythms of agriculture, when men used to work in the fields, revive in the early hours of the morning: tripe for breakfast.
