“For some time the news spread that on the last Sunday of September in the parish church of Santa Maria Maddalena in Volta the feast of the translation of the incorrupt body of the Blessed Paola Montaldi would be solemnized. Countless people participated, from the departments of Mincio, Adige and Mella to this town to venerate the Blessed…”

So begins the story linked to the celebrations that take place during the last weekend of September, in honor of Paola Montaldi, young girl devoted to God, whose body is said miraculous since it remained perfectly intact after death.

The body is exposed to the public only in these few days of the year and is a destination for the faithful travelers who come in pilgrimage to ask the Blessed to intercede for them.

In addition to celebrations and religious rituals, which always see a large participation of the entire population of Volta Mantovana, on this occasion are also held many lay activities: in the square there is the amusement park, not far the Lucky dip for charity organized by the children of the parish and, in the town hall, performances of dance schools, food stalls and lots of music.
